It's not uncommon for dental issues to arise that require immediate attention. Whether it's a broken tooth, severe pain, or a sudden infection, you may find yourself needing to go to an emergency dentist. In the midst of these chaotic scenarios, you might overlook some vital activities. To avoid this, Dr. Lilliana Stojic - An emergency dentist in Sacramento , has provided a few tips to keep in mind for optimum preparedness. In a previous blog post, we discussed whether should I visit the emergency dentist for missing crowns . However, in this blog post, we will understand some tips on how to prepare to see an emergency dentist.
Here are four ways you can prepare so that your visit is as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Before going in for a visit to the dentist in Sacramento , it's important to have all the necessary documents on hand. This includes insurance cards, photo identification, and any other paperwork required by the office. Having this information ready ahead of time will save a lot of time during check-in and help the appointment go much faster.
If you have any knocked-out teeth, crowns, fillings, or other items that were related to your dental emergency, it's important to preserve them if possible. Place the knocked-out tooth in milk and take it with you to your dentist appointment within 5 hours. Milk is the best solvent for preserving teeth when time is precious, as suggested by any general dentist in Sacramento . This can help the dentist assess the situation and determine the best course of treatment.
It's always a good idea to call ahead before arriving at an emergency dentist's office. You can explain your situation over the phone so that the staff knows what to expect when you arrive. This also gives them a chance to provide any additional instructions or details they need from you before your arrival.
Going into an emergency dentist's office can be a scary experience for some people, especially if it's their first time visiting one. If possible, bring along someone who can offer emotional support during your visit. Having someone with you during this stressful time can help make your experience more comfortable and less intimidating overall.
Dental emergencies require quick action for successful treatment outcomes, but that doesn't mean preparation should be overlooked! With these four tips in mind, you'll be ready next time an unexpected dental issue arises and be able to get the urgent care needed without any extra unnecessary stress or hassle on top of it all! I am so impressed with the entire experience. From the friendly reminders, to entering the office, and especially the dentist! My previous dentist Stephen C Ott, DDS, was incredible. I had the benefits of his gift since 1971. I was worried about finding a new dentist. However, I was blessed to have Dr. Ott recommend his dentist: Dr. Lillian Stojic. I recommend her to all!!!

I just had a visit to Dr. Stojic's office. My ten year old daughter had an infected tooth that had to be extracted. She was so nervous and scared at the possibility of an extraction. When we arrived we were greeted warmly by her office manager and then by her equally kind assistant who brought us back to her room...

Dr. Lilliana and her staff are not only effective and efficient, but they also remove my anxiety. When I had to have a root canal, I was nervous about the pain. I was given the choice of Nitrous oxide gas and that calmed me.

Dr. Stojic saw two of my children. The youngest was so comforted by her easygoing and confident demeanor that he was the quietest and most still 4 year old I've seen in a dentist chair! Our older son was very afraid of the dentist and has been to a couple other dentists who were unable to treat him because of his scared behavior. Dr. Stojic was very patient and helped him understand what she was doing at every step, which calmed him down so she was able to fill his cavities and even extract a tooth. We were thoroughly impressed with Dr. Stojic and her office and staff.
